Why the Valley of Nebhetepre? - An examination of the multi-faceted reasons Hatshepsut may have chosen this specific location for her ‘Mansion of Millions of Years’ and examines what it signifies in terms of the agenda of her reign.

About the speaker:

Claire has a First-Class Honours degree and a Masters degree (Distinction) in Egyptology from the University of Liverpool, where she was a holder of the prestigious Duncan Norman Research Scholarship. Claire’s research areas include the monumental landscape of the New Kingdom at Thebes; the reign of Hatshepsut; the discovery and contents of the tomb of Tutankhamun and the life of Howard Carter.
